The long awaited second coming of the holy anime is reward with a great movie by the filmmaker Mamoru Oshii based on the same novel of Shirow Masamune afret 9 years of the realease of the first one (1995), the movie is always about cybercops running in cyberworld, in a time where humanity have fogotten the real sense of being human divided into two entities : the cyberogs a spirit living in a mechanised body and a doll a total machinery person coexist.

The hero of this episode is Batou a cyberborg who's human traces are kept of his brain about memories of a woman called Major. As a govermental agent of an anti-terrorist section he have a to investigate about a hyper-female robot created for sexual pleasure who's malfunctions and revolutionious dignity have assinated her owner.

The movie tells about the conquest of mechanised bodies wich spirit want to save what remains of humain touch in a world where humanity fades little by little.

The movie will be in theaters staring from tomorrow september 17, and it will be in the competition list of Cannes 2004.
