The new highway Beja - Mdjez AL Bab - Kef

In Tunisia we have two Highways one starting from Tunis (Naassen) till Sfax and the other From Tunis (Sidi Thabet) till Bizerte, both are paid services, and recentrly after more than one year, a new highway linking Tunis - Mdjez AL Bab - Beja - Kef, not totally but the first part that leads to Mdjez Al Bab, a little path of 65 Km.

The second part is still on the works as long as the first, and it seems that they have many problems with the moutainious relief, the highhway is open for the traffic as a testing and counting process, the remainging project is some 100 km that would take you easily to Beja then Al Kef, making even fatser to get to Algeria through Al Kef. I was told that this new infrastructure was contracted by the world bank of developpement in oder to brush up Tunisian abilities in the GAT. Anyway we've already ride the highway and it saves more than a half hour for the first part, the final project should save about an hour to get to Al kef, that usually takes 2 hours and half in the classic roads.
