You've certainly heard aboout the new mall openend recently some 5 Km to midtown, just in the stating point of the Tunis-Bizerte Highway aka Sidi Thabet, the Géant stores are the major attraction of the new building.

The first impression you're going to made up getting there is the size, in fact the building is spreded in a some 2 Km square, something giant here in Tunisia surrouned by a thousand vacancy parking, even if that last is some kind of trap as getting in is a child' play, but while getting back you'll certainly turn around in vain...

The inside stores are nothing special : the same all clothing shops, but the main arena all surrounded by cafes and fastfood is very vast place where you'll relax while drinking a coffe or getting a non diet sandwich.

The Géant Stores that have more than half of the whole of the building is nothing extraordinary, as french as it is, it's a bigger champion or carrefour stores, with the same merchandise and shopping system, I was waiting to see special discounts or merchandise, but I was totally sold to see the cloning of what we used to see before.

This mall should be the easiest way for shopping for Araina, Menzehs and El nassrs downtown avoiding the blockout of the traffic, it seems that tunisian is now making fun of the shopping a la francaise, I just wonder how far we can just stand importing foreign merchandise, knowelege and maybe the shopping habits.
