Tunisian Bloggers meetup 15
Jul 31st

The 15th meetup wasn’t different from the past ones, it turns into a tea party where we’ve shared some thoughts and a lot of drinks and food.
I was very delighted to see many bloggers the old ones as much the new kids getting in, this means that the meetups works, if they left their bunker and step on their shame, this means that too much.
The some 30 bloggers were almost all there while I get late (I left work at 14) sharing the same long table before getting divided into crews : The IT crown, the Fun crowd and the Lebanon Crisis council, I was trying a pick a look around the three worlds.
There are more and more bloggers with digital cameras, there are even excellent ones with excellent works and this put the competition hot, I’m willing to see great photos coming out the Tunisian blogosphere.
Unlike Infinity who thought that Snawsi was a boy, I knew who “she” were and wondered how to avoid her snake tongue, but I was totally sold, the angel beside me was too cute.

Lebanon demolition Impacts
Jul 25th
The massive destruction in Lebanon comfortably accomplished by Israel under the benediction of Mother America can’t just expressed through the count of dead or the sets of buildings and infrastructure or ny financial impact how big is it , …
the impact if further more than a just a simple loss of an arabic nation, it’s an injury of the whole Arabic nations, and I won’t bore you with patriotic feelings or any abstract speesh.
- More than 90 % of the Arabic books were produced , revisited, designed , printed , packed and distributed in Lebanon, after we’ve lost Iraq sponsorship for knowledge, we are loosing the best Arabic book Himalaya, since we will have to wait longer to see new releases of Abdel Rahmane Mniff, the new Student dictionary and more and more.
- Almost all the foreign cartoons, documentary and movies are doubled in Lebanon, we know that voices that made our childhood those beautiful memories of Bachar, Jongar , … unfortunately we will miss all that for a while.
- The best Arabic channel such as LBC is riped down leaving people behind the screen screwed down. I would even sympathise with Star Academy for the sake of Lebanon.
- Most of the best Arabic singers, actors , writers, scientists , …. are over that green hill, they are all gone or waiting for the end of this hell, till that we will have our capacity subdivision. And all this is just are so few things .
In one word Lebanon is the heat of the Arab world, shoot him there and he will be a move-less body, a lied corpse in a deserted road that leads no where, I miss you Lebanon , I miss the smell of peace I got in the book you spread everywhere, … I know I would meet you soon.

Mariah carey July 24th Tunis Concert
Jul 25th

Yes, although I don’t like Mimi, even though I’m bleeding for Lebanon, I got there with the only purpose to blog it for you, despite the press, I’m telling you the truth live from there as if you were beside me.
Mariah Carey concert that was held in Menzeh stadium last 24th july got an imminent success thanks its mastery of the pop conventions, a back voicing gospel voices, a dancing band and heavy clothe changing (she wore so few things), and despite the hot climate, she did performed here songs well, the kids got the full package of the show that last less than one hour thirty starting at eleven (on hour later than scheduled).

The concert was a set of lights and boosted bass, the voice of Mrs. Carey did superpass all the tension all around, and everybody danced like a fool, surrounded by kids (the average was about 20), I found myself dancing between photo shots.
The Menzeh Stadium was overcrowded as in national Football championship and the heat was more than July’s burning celcius, everybody got there and have already acquired the proequities for the fun, some come in groups, some were their relatives.
Inside the Menzeh stadium who’s access road were all barred, the police was surrounding all over around, there was orange security guys in the entry with steel detector, I was asked to leave the camera out as photos was prohibited, I did pay the guy 5 dinars and go ahead, what’s the f*ck ? whois this jerk who would censor cameras on a concert ? Did they expect that someone get with a cam films the concert than pack the rip the show into a divx tghrown to the P2P consumers ?
Just one thing, me and the guys we got free tickets as well as many other people we met, I’ve see few people who bought their entry right, I have already explained the whole thing above ![]()

Mimi in Tunisia
Jul 21st

Maria Carey aka Mimi will perform two concerts next two days in the Menzeh Football stadium, she is right now relaxing in Hammamet in a special suite that she did custom herself, she will not give any interview till 24 hours of the concert, the cameramen will work under her stuff supervision.
They have invested 6000 banner like this one in all over Tunisia, sometimes I felt that the painting of the wall has changed into Mimi’s White dress photo so much they covered all the walls around, even those where they are not used to put ads.
The cost of the single ticket is 40 TND (about 35 $), and the VIP entry is 1 Million TND (850 $) offering a special entry to Mimi’s dinner and a photo with the american star.
I really doubt how much are there Mari ah Carey’s fans in Tunisia, I’m sure that they are a few crowd, but Tunisians are fanatics for every thing that comes from the west, so I’m willing to See them crawling down crying “Mimi we love you” , just to show that they are cool and energetic.
Damn, I can hear bombardments on Beirut over here, I can smell rotten bodies over my desk, and all my body is set to fear, I feel sad, how can we party in times like this ? I won’t ask you to let down that concert while you have spend so much money for the ticket, because you are already sold !
This guy in not Tunisian
Jul 17th

Unloaded from earth, focusing in his paper, siting down where no body else would stay, muting the world with his MP3 player, this guy is certainly not a Tunisian one, because I know how identify my citizens.
Fist of all he is reading : Few Tunisians read books, most of us do that at home, we are avoiding the shame to be seen trying to get some knowledge.
Secondly He is sitting alone : We have that manner sit closer (like the guys behind him), to join crowds and to go always in pair at least.
Thirdly he is relaxed : We use to be anxious, freaked and almost looking like if we have escaped jail last night (look at the face all around him.
And finally he is wearing very simple clothes : We have obsession for coloured, expensive , chick clothes for what we saved our salaries.
I guess you share my opinion (if you are Tunisian) and that you can understand my people (if you are a stranger).
