Private beach : Ain El Mesteer

Sooneen bizerte rafraf Ain El Mesteer

Everybody knows the famous Rafraf beach as on of the best bizertian beachs, that's true, but few of you heard about Ain El Mesteer, in fact this beach is some 5 km to Rafraf, some 75 km to Tunis, hardly reachable as you have to drive into a very narrow dry road the few last kilometers over a hidden shortcut with cactus in the both side, the other regular road, some kilometers farther is harder and longer and you'll have to park your care in the top of the cliff.

The beach is about 4 kilometers wide delimited in the both side by rocky cliffs, the sand is not that bad, but the water is awesome, and the part part is that few people got there I have counted less than 120, some kind of private beach.

When we've left Tunis, it was a little windy, once we got in our final destination is turned cloudy, but it haven't down our determination of having fun, the sun got back later back the evening just a bit before we left.

In our way to the beach, our friend shows up a little cavern with a natural water source inside operated as a shower, it was very fresh and we did take a shower easily.

The view of that isle inside the sea under a cloudy/blue sky was superb while relaxing tired of kiddish water games, the other view was farther in the left side of the rocks, were waves were digging inside a natural canal.

The beach is not supported by the municipality, even popular, no rubbish collectors, no police, ... you can't buy nothing there, the only option you have to crawl back some 5 km to get a little shopping, for water there are natural water sources all around.

Finally, that beach is excellent if we forget about the tons of rubbish that stands there, the access is complex and hard, but the view, the water and the free shower are all awesome !

N.B: Thanks for stupeur, I did call the beach "Sooneen" while it was "Ain El mistir".
