The scarf crisis

Now, we’ve reached the edge for something that uttered the beginning of something, from one side the government is prohibiting this religious wearing style, while holy people strike for it, the world outside the borders is speaking loudly about the phenemonea, while inside we mutely exchange nothing else : “what’s going on ?”.
Everything here seems calm, perfect and the sky is blue, I have noticed or heard nothing about policemen stopping women wearing scarves despite we have a plenty of them in my office.
In the other hand, we all know the government addiction disapprove it totally as “unconstitutional” and does not feat the country’s ambitions.
between this and that the agitated press all around as BBC and Aljazerah are just reporting anonymous witness, and with unnamed people we can tell everything about anything.
I don’t want to defend or justify something or someone, I went just to know the truth, what’s really happening over here where I’msupposed living the citisenship experience. If me, my friends or all people around haven’t noticed nothing special, tell me justsome cases or some real stories of what’s going on, as our press stuck down with sports and stars last stupid dinner.
Tunisian Bloggers meetup 19

The second Ramadan’s Meetup was an other success gathering of bloggers, we were five to break the fatst together inside Al Mida restaurant while outdoors the rain was going crazy, Me and Stupeur, Otherz, Bidyules and the new Kid selmen who is a very close friend have eating and sharing very delicious moments within that excellent supper.
Then we got to the roof tops champion’s mall cafe who was completely flooded with water, so we’ve gone down and settled in the small cafe in the ground floor next to the behind gate that leads to the metro station.
than small by small bloggers come in : Imed, Nuaffrage , Kooli, Swifty and his mysterious anynoumous friend, Seif and his gonna-succeed brother Sahha Kho, then my friend Zied.
The discussion, unlike the weather, were extrmly hot and shiny, we’ve been talking about a bunch of things such as Tn-blogs and the banned blogs, the Hijab and how many bloggers are cheating to gain popularity and hits.
Finally the meetup was very thing, extremely funny and have lasted almost less than 30 TND for both dinner and coffees, which is really a miracle, we’ve planned also to make the next meetup on the roof tops cafe of El hana Hotel one or two weeks after the aid.

Houssein’s clean out job

I totally agree with the man, we have to suspend such blogs, tn-blogs is far to be a robot blog feed syndicate, it’s well maintained by Houssein and that’s a guaranty for quality and transparency.
The Wissem2005 and Egg buster blogs, were enough mistrusting to be throw from the window a long time ago, in fact they have never been blogs, such a myspace or skyblog rubbish photo nd texts would never feat in a proud community and if one day my blog turns bad and crappy, please Houssein do me a favor : shot me in the head.
This would be a very clear lesson to all the guys to start thinking again and ask for “what is blogging ?”, is a paper where you candrawallsorts of nasty drawings or just an other ash tray ? Did they get inspiration from others blogs ? did they ever trust anyone “Is my blog good enough ?”, No and never ! why ? because they have no idea what does it talk about.
The first reaction of Wissem (who is a close fiend from Korba) was to blame houssein, and thus in the way he was doing great till he gets cut down, I have explained to Wiss while chatting today that his blogs really sucks like I have been advising him months ago, his roommate Selmen running Caouca party blog and who started lately posting, have made an excellent brand content enough to call it a “Tunisian blog”. he suddenly started to day to write about interesting things … the back push did shake his thoughts , in few weeks he’ll be worth something.
Toward the reaction of the blogosphere and the muted feed back of houssein, I raise my voice to say that we have got enough of all this, if you’re doing well no one will disturb you, if your blog is worth reading it would certainly fit in the tn-blogs, remember that Houssein have been hosting a bunch of blogs since three years later including my own one, and that he have started the Tn-blogs from him self with no extra help, we were all excited to see the efforts he made to grow up with his community.
The tn-blogs is not just a feed syndicate, it is the gate to Tunisia, a real windows to our burring little hearts, where we try to show the best, even the worst have to be well written, and most of all it has to a blog.
Hunting the mouse

It gas to be some 5 months that I’m tracking down this little mammal, the cheese addict was rolling all the nights free and happy on the kitchen, once the lights are off and that we got to sleep and it calmed down. Every time I woke up up thirsty straight to the refrigerator, I met that E.T. show in dazzled me a while with mockery and irony before disappearing somewhere, I was never able to find him then, he was smarter than many humans … and so I resigned and swallowed the idea that a 3 mammal is sharing the apartment with us without paying any fees. It was OK as long as we kept everything eatable in the refrigerator or well covered, love and peace is such a great thing.
Sometimes I’ve even put some cheese or biscuits apart as a gift willing win his friendship (yes I’m a bit nerdy) and in order to make him satisfied so he could get back to his hideout without making any extra noise by night.
Last weekend while I was sleeping I heard a disturbing voice in my room, I’ve suspected my phone, no it’s not ringing, I turn it off then got back to sleep, no more than five minutes there was the same noise again, but closer to my bed, I got back in anger and make a fast check under my bad , and than in then onside my bad (I have 90 cm bad with extra space inside to keep goods), wow ! the beast is here, between a hundreds of my old CDs, “come bastard !”.
The lucky disturber flew away between the PC-mag old CDs and Knoppix 3.3 before reaching Newsweek last year collection and jumping off the bed and disappearing again. “what a mess ! this is why a cat is more important than TV at home”.unfortunally I have cats only in Zaghouan i can’t jail then is so small apartment.
As I’ve noticed that my room’s door was closed, I thought that leaving it open would invite the mouse to leave in secrecy, and that was totally bullshit, the little animal didn’t understand my clear message and as I’ve fall back to sleep he was making noise again like some kind of challenge that worked out my little brain, I woke up again turn on the light, getting an unused underwear (yes it’s sexy) closed the door back and start to hunt him.
Hopeless, the mouse was running from corner to corner while the misunderstood blogger was hunting down the midnight crawler. and finally I got it alive holing in my hands, took some photos of his good looking smile, and then throw it from the 4th floor to ground apartment where at least four cats where living in total harmony, if ever he survived the shock, the cats would appreciate an early night small sandwich from a cat’s lover.

The meetup will take place in Restaurant el Mida (Avenue Palestine) the next Friday October 13, you should be there no later than 18:3, once breaking the fast we will get somewhere else to get a warm drink together.

Ramadanian Bloggers meetup

Last Ramadan, we’ve set up the first ramdanian bloggers meetup where we’ve broke the fast featuring 5 bloggers :Me, SubzeroBlue , Aquacool, Tom and Mraihi and it was delicious warm and make a family atmosphere, in order to keep the touchin this holy month, I suggest that we do that again.
I’m counting on you for suggestions, even if I think that Al Mida restaurant (Avenue Palestine)with delicious and typically Tunisian offers the best deal for such an event with very reasonable prices (check the photo gallery), we can get anywhere you want once we’ve got fat and lazy. Feel free to re-post about this.

Without being affiliated with Hannibal -the only private TV channel in Tunisia-, after “Sigma Conseil” have show the results of its poll based on forms given to bored and frightened Lafayette Mall shoppers who, in a hurry and bitter random move, makes a quick roll with a cheap pen on a badly photocopied and unreadable paper, a daily scene that I notice in anger from my desk willing someday to get out and kiss their as*** and make them vanish from my city.
The poll shows that 1out of 5 watches Hannibal TV, the study did a scandalous impact of the channel staff who have made a big critics spoken by the TV presenters between programs all along the day.
At home, we watch Hannibal TV everyday once we broke the fast, and thus due tothe quality of its programs, even my friends and neighbors do the same if we suppress the devilish popularity of “Dlilik Mlek” and that’s and other story, but all around : my colleagues in the office, my family … they really watch Hannibal TV mixed up fun and criticism as only TV alternative if Tunisia despite TV7.
Hannibal TV have done too much in working deeper into the Tunisian style, and it did succeed, such program such “Bidoun Istithan” (without invitation) have show how some of our citizen have really bad times, where poverty dwells in bitterness and hope, the hope that Hannibal TV offers to all the watchers of a better tomorrow.
So, in my name and all Hannibal TV fans I support Hannibal Tv and start boycotting TV7 !
